What is “CODE 95”?
Code 95 is a mandatory certificate that all drivers in the European Union must possess when driving a vehicle with a carrying capacity of over 3.5 tonnes. This document is a confirmation of the driver’s professionalism, as well as permission to carry out freight and passenger transportation in the EU.
It is added to the driver’s license, thus confirming the qualifications of a professional driver. Each entry of the code is in the format 95.DD.MM.YYYY, where the date after 95 indicates the expiration date.
Importantly, only entries issued based on a course taken within the European Union are recognized within the EU. Entries from countries outside the EU, such as Ukraine, are not accepted.
